The lovely ladies of the Braidwood Quilt Event have embraced Q.U.I.L.T  through the inclusion of  our giant leather and latex patchwork quilt in the “Hanging of the Quilts!”  This shows great solidarity between the two events. The balcony from whicht he kinky kwilt will be hung, will remain a secret until Saturday. Don’t worry quilting ladies, it has been scraped and steam cleaned! Should be easy to hang; just use it’s attached manacles!

The best thing about Bungendore getting on board is that there’s a leather goods studio there!!!  Thwaaap Thwaaap – I promise I’ll be good!! OOOOOOOOOOWWWWWCH!!!

Queers United In Little Towns is a celebration of alternative lifestyle in Australia’s smaller regional Centres! Popularist views would have us believe that fetishists, crossdressers, doms, subs, gays, lesbians, swingers and those that generally enjoy a bit of kink, are confined to the inner city!

The little town of Braidwood is living proof that a microcosm of “queer” behaviour can co-exist with traditional rural values. A national British newspaper recently reported on Braidwood’s inordinatly disproportionate fascination with queer behaviour. The article reported that each week, various groups of fetishists, cross dressers, slaves, masters and mistresses stage events and gatherings at which they openly and unashamedly partake in their choice of kinks. It was reported that participants include, local councilors, CWA Ladies, farmers and members of church groups; just a small cross section. In Braidwood, a respected society lady might attend her sewing group on Wednesday evening, where she might crochet a gimp mask, which her husband could wear on Friday evening as she thrashes his arse with a wooden spoon in front of a group of like minded people.

Braidwood was the obvious choice for a “little town” in which to kick off Q.U.I.L.T.  – The inaugural event will be fairly low key event. Queers of all orientations are invited to simply gather amongst the everyday rural ambience of a spring weekend in Braidwood. Visitors are encouraged to dress queer and dress loud! There’ll be free “camping” in Ryrie park  – if an overnight stay isn’t on your agenda, just come out for the day! Be queer and be proud!!!!
